My top favorite movie list is continually changing – it is a mix of instances of Golden-Age Hollywood, significant blockbusters, craftsmanship pieces, and nostalgia. Let me get straight to the point that these movies are what I consider MY favorites – they are not all classics, not all entirely re-watchable, and some I wouldn’t consider being what we might call an “extraordinary film”. A portion of these movies are significantly re-watchable, others I just watch once every year to protect their status as a special film. However, every one of them hold a special spot in my heart. Here is my present list :
I watched this for English in Year 10 and thought this was the coolest movie ever! Significantly in the wake of studying it inside and out, the magic was never lost for me – I loved the delightful way the film gradually built up to the big reveal, how that wasn’t the end however just the beginning, the massive action groupings, and the sci-fi twists and turns. Despite the fact that I still hide my eyes during the “parasite” scene, I attempt to watch this film at any rate once every year.
I first watched this since I needed to demonstrate to my individual film-loving mates that it was possible to watch this and “get it” first go… and I did! I watched it on a little PC screen, yet was still overwhelmed by the intensity of Christopher Nolan’s creativity, special impacts and vision. All around acted, brilliant script! This is likewise the first (of a few) films in this list featuring Nolan as the director, and Hans Zimmer as the writer of the musical score.
Batman : The Dark Knight
I love the way this film, about a hero who takes on the appearance of a giant rat, was considered an instant classic when it was discharged. The practical impacts from Nolan, the brilliant exhibitions from Ledger, Bale, Caine, Oldman and Eckhart, the driving score from Zimmer, and the underlying subjects of mayhem and request, preservation and destruction, continues to find me after the credits asking myself disbelievingly “what did I simply watch?” An increasingly impeccable film you will battle to find.
The Shawshank Redemption
The widely adored, Super-DUPER depressing for more than 2 hours (man imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit, sent to a jail administered with an iron fist yet degenerate gatekeepers and a brutal superintendent), yet that ending was sufficient to shake me to my center. Not wanting to spoil it for other people, however the ending inspires so much expectation and accompanied by a terrifically uplifting musical subject by Thomas Newman, that it requires rehash viewings. This film additionally showed me a few film-making techniques, especially the importance of lighting in a shot, and complexities among darkness and light.
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
This is the movie that each other spin-off is estimated against – that is the manner by which great this film is!!! A bigger special impacts spending plan considers greater creativity, yet ILM still makes magic with practical impacts where possible. An extraordinary plot, where the baddies win, and where Harrison Ford’s vocation is unchangeable, alongside still one of the best unexpected developments in movie history, concretes this film as one of the greats.
